Since 1998 the Mr. and Miss Gay Teen Tucson Pageant (MMGTT) has been one of the few organized outlets for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GBLT) youth in Tucson to express their creative gender illusion talents and take an active leadership role in the community.
Until 2004 the pageant was produced by Eon, which decided it could no longer produce the pageant. No pageant was held in 2005. Starting in 2006 an independent group decided to revive the pageant. The event is now organized and produced by youth and helps them develop their leadership skills while raising money for our community.
The pageant is really two pageants combined. One title for Mr. Gay Teen Tucson and one for Miss Gay Teen Tucson.
